MARBLE EGG COOKIES:  Here is an easy way to dress up those Easter cookies.  You can also use this technique for Christmas ornaments, t-shirt cookies,
butterflies, dresses, and hot air balloons.

This marble egg cookie is easy to decorate --
just follow these easy directions.

Make a batch of royal icing.  Seperate it into 5 or 6 bowls and color.  Add water to make each bowl of icing into a run consistency.    Put icing into plastic squeeze bottles.

Begin with your base color,
I chose white.  Squeeze
about a silver dollar sized
circle of icing on your cookie.
Don't put on too much
because you'll be adding
additional icing in a moment.

Using a paintbrush, or the
brush end of your tip cleaning
brush, spread the icing to the
edges of the cookie.

Immediately take your
other squeeze bottles of
icing and make lines
of color on the cookie.

Use a tooth pick to drag
thtrough the lines of color.  Be
sure to wipe off your toothpick
after each drag.
Experiment with different
color combinations and
patterns.

One of the nice things about these eggs is that each
one becomes it's own little work of art.  No two will be alike!
